Soooooo, I haven't written a journal is a mad long time.....................yo. (the sentence felt incomplete...)

So I've been reading a LOT of D.Gray-Man lately... I'm surprised I hadn't discovered this manga earlier~! I totally impressed with all the different character designs...they're all so unique.

I've become a complete Rabi/Lavi fan (they keep switching back and forth because I'm not reading the official manga, only the scans... D: ) and I love it~! Haha, haven't found a new fangirl-able character in a while...

Allen is a good protagonist, and I love how his hair magically keeps getting shorter and spikier, haha.

Linali is alright, not as dumb and useless as some female protagonists can be in shounen... but she's been irking me ever since her hair was cut short. blargh.


Enough about that. I've got chapter one of Holy completely redrawn...but not inked. D:
I'm taking a short break from Holy and I am instead working on Thief Of Morganwood lately. It has no script so I'm going with the flow page by page for the most part. It's not meant to be really thought out...more of a temporary exercise to help me with coloring and schtuff.


I really need to draw more. D:


I'm heading to art school in 16 days and I must admit, I'm both excited...and nervous, haha. I really hope I'm not the suckiest artist there...that'd, well......SUCK. I haven't had proper art classes in a year and I hope I haven't lost my spark during the past twelve months of Target, friends, and boyf. I guess we'll see.

So..................

I'm as good as typing to myself here, haha, for it seems that over the past three years I've neglected my account so terribly that it's life is hanging by a thread...but that's okay by me...

Well, typing to myself is just fine, having my account hang by a thread is not.

I'm tempted to start a new DA account...


I've come to loathe the dorky name I gave this one so long ago... >_>;

But I don't know, it would be like erasing my history...well, a small part of my history, but history nonetheless. I'm not too sure if I'd feel content with my decision. I could just start a new one and NOT delete this one...but eh. If I'm going to start a new one, I don't want to have to maintain this one in the least bit whatsoever. JEEZ I've become rather indecisive over the years...hah.


In other news, I finally finished the ((PENCILS OF *COUGH*)) HOLY chapter one...I'm frustrated though, because I had to draw it on wayyyyy smaller paper (regular white printer kind...)than I intended because it'd be the fastest way to ink, scan it into my computer, edit it from there and still be able to have it print decently. I WANTED to draw it all on 11" x 14" vellum bristol so I could include more detail and more effective poses/angles but it would be a pain and a half to scan it in sections and have to piece it together in photoshop... if quality seems to strip the format of it's effectiveness however, I may just end up drawing chapter two on bristol...we'll have to see how the editing and final product come out.


THEN there are also other issues such as whenever I ink a page and scan it into the computer, despite what art program I import it to, it seems to make the lines thicker...which kills the artwork violently with a machete (spelled correctly? si? no?). So maybe I should just scan the penciled pages into photoshop, make layers over it, and redraw the page IN the program so I can effectively control the line thickness...but then it loses it's natural flow/pen stroke?

GAHHHHHHHHHH.



CONCLUSION:

-Chiru's DA account is pretty much dead, despite trying to bring it back into gear

AND

-she has a lot of experimenting to do with page formatting/editing for HOLY if she expects it to be by any means DECENT.
